Background

Dr. Goldstein had performed my LASIK years ago, but my vision went downhill when cataracts developed.

The Procedure. Immediately after surgery, my distance vision was great.

Surgery was quick, easy and painless! Dr. G made me feel very comfortable and at ease the whole time.

Results.

I was very surprised by how much color and detail I had been missing due to the cataracts!! I really don't need glasses at all anymore..

Background

I always wore glasses on my face or in my hair. I thought that the best that could be done was to 'hold the line' after cataract surgery.

The Procedure

After a discussion of the options I decided on what I call 'bifocal crystalens implant'. Immediately after surgery, my distance vision was great.

Results.

It took about 6 to 8 months to regain normal reading vision. In my work as an attorney, I find that I don't need glasses for ANY of my activities except very fine print, or in low light situations.

Background

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Goldstein's for about 10 years. Night driving and reading my music at church became difficult, so I decided it was time for surgery.

I prayed about it, and felt that the crystalens would be the best choice, and I could read the clock without glasses right after I had surgery..

Results.

Grandma has a 'bionic eye'!! I can drive..knit, read the scriptures, all without glasses!!

Background

My cataracts were causing so much glare, that I could no longer drive at night. To top it off, I had an extreme degree of nearsightedness (couldn’t see past the tip of my nose!), and astigmatism. I was referred to Dr. Goldstein by another eye doctor, because he had the most experience with crystalens implants.

I had my surgery 2 weeks apart,. The next day I could see across the room without glasses! For me, this was enough of an improvement and I didn’t even care if I needed readers. I needed additional laser surgery, the, over the next few months the reading vision began to improve, too.

I am completely 'glasses free'!!

Background

I was told that I had cataracts, and was noticing that my vision was blurry, and that I was having difficulty with driving, reading and also glare issues.

My distance vision is close to 20/20 in both eyes, and I am completely happy with my vision. I can see the computer perfectly, and all of my co-workers are jealous because they are constantly looking around for their reading glasses, while I don’t need them anymore!!

Refractive Lens Exchange was performed on both eyes, 2 weeks between surgeries in 2007
